Aussie Circus

Fayyaaz and I had the honour of photographing the second last show of the Aussie Circus in Durban last Saturday evening. Thanks Fayyaaz for organising with the Circus management team.

It was difficult lighting conditions. We had to use spot metering, in a continuous focus mode(servo) , without flash and shoot in manual with insane ISO's. That being said Fayyaaz's new 70-200mm f2.8 was a beast under lowlight conditions. Comment below if you have any questions.

The show was brilliant. Truly a breathtaking display of intricate skill, art and entertainment. Here are a few pictures from the event:

Mo marries Naadirah

I had the honour of photographing a wedding event for Muhammed and Naadirah at the end of March. Such a stunning couple. Here are a few pics from the event:

Dragon's Peak

Jamiela, Zayd and I had the opportunity of stopping over in the central Drakensberg on our way back home from Johannesburg. We stayed at a tranquil place which was allowed us to unwind after a busy weekend in Johannesburg.

Here are a few pictures that I managed to capture:

Western Cape

Jamiela, Zayd and I headed out to Cape Town to attend a wedding during mid December 2015. With the family events it was difficult to do sneak away to do abit of photography but I managed to get a few shots in here and there.

Here are some of the shots I took from my trip to Robben Island, a place steeped in history of our colonial past and path to liberation.

A trip to the infamous Kirstenbosch Botanic Gardens, armed with just a nifty fifty to try and capture the beautiful flora and insect life.

Light trails from our Hotel

We made a trip to Ceres, famous for the fruit orchards, where we did abit of cherry picking.

We visited Tulbagh known to be the home for many famous vineyards and and olive and pear orchards

We visited Montagu where we stayed on a farm. Zayd really loved the horses and feeding ducks

Township cricketers

Fayyaaz and I had the honour of shooting an event at Kingsmead Cricket Stadium in Durban hosted by ILMSA for a day out with KZN township kids
